Dear Pep,

For the ROC curve, we usually cite Swet:
Swets K.A. (1988). Measuring the accuracy of diagnostic systems. Science, 240, 1285-1293.

For the TSS, see Allouche et al.
Allouche O., Tsoar A. & Kadmon R. (2006). Assessing the accuracy of species distribution models: prevalence, kappa and the true skill statistic (TSS). Journal of Applied Ecology, 43, 1223-1232.

For the Kappa, see :
Fielding A.H. & Bell J.F. (1997). A review of methods for the assessment of prediction errors in conservation presence/absence models. Environmental Conservation, 24, 38-49.
Monserud R.A. & Leemans R. (1992). Comparing global vegetation maps with the Kappa statistic. Ecological Modelling, 62, 275-293.

Hope it helps

Wilfried
