[Rsiena-help] Two RSiena points

Hello Ruth & Tom,

teaching creates a certain pressure to do things ... I've been teaching
two days of network evolution modeling with RSiena here in Lexington,
Ky, so I had to abandon the old Siena 3 platform, at least for a while,
but it is addictive. As Josh may already have written you, we
encountered two mistakes that you should know of:

    * there is a letter '0' missing in line 170 of the R Script that is
on Tom's website, together with the s50 data. The script reads "aa
<- matrix(nrow=5, ncol=2)" while the number of rows must be 50.

    * the siena01Gui() call is futile because currently you cannot
specify any models. If you want to, instead of opening the
fix(effects) screen, you get the error message "Error in
      `[.data.frame`(name, , priorityColumns) : undefined columns
selected". Josh suspected that this may have something to do with
      the new time heterogeneity test.

As I will be teaching another course in ~10 days, I would appreciate it
very much if these points could be repaired. For the script, I obviously
can do that myself... but not for the Gui. We will work with scripts in
the first place, but nonetheless I want people to see how (and THAT) the
Gui works as well. At some moment in the coming days, I need to send the
zipped R packages we will work with to the student assistant managing
the final software distribution (I think they use CDs)...

By the way, Maarten - if you read this - we had no problems with
'sienaModelCreate' during the workshop. What you report sounds weird...

Thanks & Greetings,
Christian
