This doesn't work on Debian / Ubuntu:

   \usepackage{\Sexpr{file.path( R.home(), "share/texmf/Sweave" ) }}

as we have 

   edd at ron:~> ls /usr/share/R
   debian	doc  include  share
   edd at ron:~> ls /usr/lib/R
   bin  COPYING  etc  lib	library  modules  NEWS	site-library  SVN-REVISION
   edd at ron:~> 

i.e. we do not have file-system tree below R_HOME.  On the other hand, we do
integrate with LaTeX so I just say

  \usepackage{Sweave}

and things work.  Short of having configure deal with this, what else can we do?
