My $0.02: 

 - Rcpp question belong here. "Tangentially related Rcpp" may not; it depends.

 - How to configure Eclipse does not belong here.

 - How to program R (outside of Rcpp/RInside) does not belong here either.

The mailing list has been a good resource with a high signal/noise ratio. I'd
like to keep it this way.  For idle banter, we can always switch to twitter,
google+ hangouts, the StackOverflow R chatroom, an IRC channel, ...
