[Phylobase-devl] How to build a tree progressively?

Hi,

I am wondering if I could use phylobase to build a tree progressively.  
Starting with two nodes, I pick a branch to attach a node until there  
is no left nodes to attach. I went through phylobase help, but it  
seems to hard for me to figure out. I want something like:

e.g., g is a phylo4 object.
 > g <- phylo4(g, node=10, edge=3)

I will appreciate your input.
