[datatable-help] Making merge.data.table more like merge.data.frame, part II

Hi,

In an effort to accomplish the goal stated in the subject, I was
working on some code to support an explicit `by` parameter in the
merge.data.table function.

I just wanted to make sure we were all on the same page (accomplishing
goal in subject line) before I start committing back into repo.

Yay/nay?
