[Basta-users] Convergence

Maybe you have other issues, not necessarily quality of data, which is more like a philosophical thing, you can try with large burn ins, or better, larger thinning?
I have some serious issues in the past and saw a paper (cannot tell the exact one, it was seabirds, using BaSTA, in JAE) with huge thinning, and that worked for me too.

Subject: [Basta-users] Convergence

Hi. I am just starting to use BaSTA. My data do not seem to converge, and I don’t get DIC values. I have tried making more simulations, but it has not worked until now. If the model do not reach convergence after, say 15 or 20 simulations, does that mean that the quality of my dataset does not allows running the analyses?

Thanks a lot,
