[Basta-users] BaSTA Priors for Detection Probabilities

Hi all,

I am a PhD student at Virginia Tech studying amphibian and reptile
conservation. I am new to this mailing list, so apologies if this question
has already been addressed.

I'm having difficulty estimating detection probabilities from my data;
specifically, they are consistently overestimated, and hence survival is
consistently underestimated.

Looking through the documentation, I could not find information for the
following:

1) What is the default prior for detection probabilities?
2) Can an informative prior be specified in the basta() function?

Any help or advice on this topic would be greatly appreciated.
