Dear Yang,

Does it actually return the integer (or number) "4370", or does it mention that 4370 missing values have been replaced, but returning a genind object?

Best

Thibaut

Subject: [adegenet-forum] Missing values

Dear Thibaut,

I'm trying to use PCA in adegenet for a dataset of insect microsatellites. When I did replacing missing data with the mean of the corresponding alleles with

codes:
obj <- na.replace(odec1, method = "mean")

It returns a value "4370".

I'm wondering what does this mean? It can't be the total number of my missing genotypes as I have around 80 ones in this datasets. Then I would like to know what this figure represent.

Thanks so much in advance!

Cheers

Yang
