[Sciviews-help] Komodo-Edit / sciviews-k / svUnit trouble

First of all, let me thank you for the wonderful sciviews-k/sciviews-r! I just 
discovered it and am delighted.

However, I do have a little trouble getting the integration with svUnit working.

I installed Komodo-Edit 5.2.4, sciviews-k 0.9.16, and sciviews-k-unit 0.7.2 
(also the R-reference and the experimental source-tree). The R-packages I 
installed first from CRAN, and then from r-forge (thinking that may solve my 
trouble).

When I try to load the svUnit package (by sending library (svUnit) via 
Ctrl-Enter), I only get a message

The socket server in unavailable
Trying to write data though the SciViews-K socket server that is not started!

I went to the Sciviews-K Toolbox -> Commands -> Server.
R Socket server info tells me that R is on port 8888.

Socket client info says:
SciViews socket client:
Local socket server on port 7052 (stopped)

I tried Socket client start, which leads to a "Sciviews-K server started" in the 
status bar at the bottom, but the output of  Socket client info stays "stopped" 
(nor can I load the svUnit package).

I tried to use older versions of sciviews-k (15-slim and 12), but the problem 
was the same.

What am I missing? I think I must have overseen something really basic on the 
sciviews-k internet page, but somehow I didn't get it.
Also, I tried to switch on the Socket client debug, but I couldn't find where 
its output goes.

If I load library ("svGUI"), I can successfully send
koCmd('alert("Hello from R!");')
but
koCmd ('sv.socket.serverWrite("Hello from OpenKomodo");')
gives the same error as library (svUnit).
