Dear Tom,

Thank you very much. Eventually, the problem was in the 'nbrNodes' argument. Sorry for the wrong posting, I will put it right next time!

Best,

Filippo

Dear Filippo,

The error probably has to do with multi-threading, I guess you have useCluster=TRUE. Try to use a single process first, with useCluster=FALSE.
Another advice for error interpretation is to request
traceback()
which will give you information about where the error occurred.

A general advice about asking advice for errors is to tell us not only the error but also about what you did to produce the error.

Cheers,
Tom

Subject: [Rsiena-help] Error

Dear all,

I am now entering the world of network analysis, and I am having some problems with the siena7() function.

In particular, the printed output from the R-console is
"Error in checkForRemoteErrors(lapply(cl, recvResult)) :
one node produced an error: object of type 'externalptr' is not subsettable"

The more I try to look for a solution, the less I understand where the problem truly is. Any suggestion/hint to solve the problem I am facing? Even some diagnostic trick could be helpful

Thank You in advance,

Filippo
