Dear Emily,
I do not know what happened in your session. In my session no such error message is generated. Perhaps you have inadvertently gone back to an older RSiena version. By
sessionInfo()
you can get the information about the version you are using.
Please note that these type of questions could also be posted at the yahoo website

Best regards,
Tom

Subject: [Rsiena-help] Centered Variables
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing regarding the centering of covariates in RSiena using the coCovar function.
I have 15 discrete variables for 41 actors representing their country of origin. It makes sense to me that these variables are not to be centered based on their discrete nature. However, the function coCovar no longer allows one to input: centered = FALSE. At least the message returned is:
Error in coCovar(country, centered = FALSE) :
unused argument (centered = FALSE)
Is someone able to assist me with this? Or provide more information on why I can center covariate variables?
Thank you,
Emily
