Dear All,
I just downloaded R and RSiena. I have a MacBook Pro (with Mac OS X 10.6.8) and a MacAir (with Mac OS X 10.7.2) and I cannot start RSiena in either of them. Following the advice of a colleague I downloaded RStudio, but that did not help either. I am following the steps in the Manual for RSiena (by Ripley, Snijders, and Preciado - March 8 2012) in page 9 & 10.
I downloaded R & RSiena and changed the permissions successfully. However, when I tried to run sienascript or use the siena01Gui() comment, GUI does not start.
Here is the error line I get in RStudio:
This function needs the tcl/tk package TkTable: install it, or use an alternative data entry method: see RSiena help page
In addition: Warning message:
In tclRequire("Tktable") : Tcl package 'Tktable' not found
After this I tried to install Tktable but that does not work. Here is the comment I used and the response I got:
> install.packages("tktable")
Installing package(s) into ‘/Library/Frameworks/R.framework/Versions/2.14/Resources/library’
(as ‘lib’ is unspecified)
Warning in install.packages :
package ‘tktable’ is not available (for R version 2.14.2)
I checked for if this is a common problem, but I cannot find any available solutions online. I also installed tcl/tk2, xtable, and network, but still have the same problem. I would really appreciate if somebody can tell me the solution for this problem. Thank you very much in advance!
Sincerly,
Remzi Gozubuyuk
