Dear Michelle,
Have you recreated the data, model and effects objects? If not, that
would be worth doing.
If this doesn't help, I'll have a look for you if you send me the data and
commands.
Please also send the result of a sessionInfo() command so I know exactly
what version of R, Windows, etc.
