I'll check if I can do things without the compiler namespace, but I
don't think so.
Also note that I am no c++ wiz, so some obvious mistakes for the trained
eye might be in the code.
They say that the compiler namespace is part of the libproto library,
but maybe something went wrong on debian's packaging and you'd get it if
you also install the headers for the (separate) library for the protoc
compiler. (but this might be non-sense as well)
