Oh yes. Simon said it was a matter of weeks. I don't want to mess with 
it until I see what he does.

This would involve messing around with sockets, threads, the R event 
loop. Too much for my shoulders.

Do you have some ideas of methods that we could use to demonstrate how 
this works. Echo is very boring.
