Experience says to expect at least around 5 hrs per week. Depending  
on the skills and the background of the student (and obviously keep  
in mind that you don't *have* to take a student if you're not  
comfortable with the qualifications of any applicant), as well as the  
nature of the challenges of the project, it may be more than that.

All work is remote. If a qualified student that's local to you (or  
someone else) applies that's fine, but on-site work can't be a  
requirement.
