Message-ID: <55F02D7A.2040006@braverock.com> Dinesh, I just wanted to say congrats and thanks for a very productive summer. This is a nice contribution, particularly with the Dowd package now on CRAN, I know that some of that work was probably a bit tedious, but I hope that you were able to learn some things along the way as well - at a minimum it's a nice survey of common practices in risk management. What will be your status next summer - will you qualify as a student again? If so, I know we'd be interested in working with on a project plan late this year and early next to be prepared for applications in the spring. Again, many thanks - pcc From dines.acharya at gmail.com Thu Sep 10 08:43:17 2015 From: dines.acharya at gmail.com (Dinesh Acharya) Date: Wed, 9 Sep 2015 23:43:17 -0700 Subject: [Gsoc-dowd] Great summer... Though I had worked with risk measures, it was more theoretical and did not deal much with application aspects like back-testing and so many estimation methods. Thank you for the opportunity to work on the wonderful project. Yes, I will remain a student coming summer too and would love to work further more. Thank you, both, once again for guidance and support.
