Interesting. I haven't looked at the code in much detail (time is
limited unfortunately), but can you tell me if this is a problem in
ProbABEL, GenABEL or both? An alternative to your patch could of course
be to allow longer variant names.

I've committed it to SVN (r.2049), so it will be part of the next
GenABEL release.
