Another small thing.

What is

--disable-openmp         do not use OpenMP

suppose to do? (I know what it says, but what is the expected behaivior from the program with this option?)
I dont think it does what you think it does. Or do we know what it does at all?

in the command ./configure --help

Optional Packages:
  --with-PACKAGE[=ARG]    use PACKAGE [ARG=yes]
  --without-PACKAGE       do not use PACKAGE (same as --with-PACKAGE=no)
  --with-mpi              compile with MPI (shared memory parallelization)
                          support. Ifnone is found, MPI is not used. Default:
                          auto


Should be "Distributed memory ? parallelization"
