I have tried to run 'example(cocohet)' on Win machines (coo5, ge03/05
installation). That would not run - the procedure 'cocohet' by default
tries to generate a JPEG graph and exits with error.
So, Fan, please do not assume 'cocohet' works for the course. Does
work on my Mac book though, and should work on Linux as well.
To follow-up - the problem is two-fold, I think:
A) conventional logic is that analysis is done and then graphs are
produced from the resulting object using 'plot...' function (this is
also problem of GenABEL::estlambda, btw)
B) it is assumed that JPEG can be produced, which is not always true,
especially for Win
I suppose we need to fill this in as a bug. What can be done as a
quick fix - allow the plotting argument (manhetten_plot??? Btw, error
in the city name here) to be NULL, in which case 'cocohet' should not
attempt to produce a graph.
