Dear BATMAN user

Welcome to the BATMAN project mailing list!

This is the list where we will post anything of interest to users of the BATMAN software, e.g. software updates and major bug fixes. We don't expect the traffic on the list to be high volume. Users can post to this list if you have comments/queries about use of BATMAN. To post to the list, send an email to:
batman-users at lists.r-forge.r-project.org<mailto:batman-users at lists.r-forge.r-project.org>

However, if you have found a bug, or would like to request a feature be added to the software, please do so via the R Forge site using the bug and/or feature request tracker. See bottom of the page at:
https://r-forge.r-project.org/projects/batman/
To do this, you'll need an R-forge account, login and select 'submit new' from the relevant tracker page.

We are pleased to announce that BATMAN is now up to version 1.1. Major changes since the version published in Hao et al. 2012 are:

- Empirical multiplet: construct multiplets with arbitrary multiplicity/splitting using multiple Lorentzians

- Raster multiplet: construct templates using experimental pure compound spectra

- Chem shift per spectrum: For a given multiplet, give separate prior chemical shifts for each spectrum. This allows you to adjust the default chemical shift, for example, when some spectra exhibit extreme pH induced shifts. This can be combined with sorting a set of spectra by the position of a shifting peak to get better estimates of prior peak positions, to be described in a forthcoming paper. Interactive Matlab code for spectral sorting and following peak shifts using splines can be found in the directory "SplineFitBATMAN_MATLABcode/" in the SCM repository on the R forge site.

As always you can install the current version using the R command:
install.packages("batman", repos="http://R-Forge.R-project.org")

We wish you the best of luck using BATMAN. Please do post to the list and let us know how you get on!

Best wishes
