Hello,

if you have pre-defined clusters, then find.clusters won't help you. Look at the AMOVA implemented in Pegas, which should help. I am not sure if you can extract AIC from the models, but it is worth a try.

Cheers

Thibaut

Subject: [adegenet-forum] BIC for arbitrary K

Hi,

How can you compare two or more clusters, which are based on geography
rather than the genetic signal against each other?

E.g. East-West (K=2) vs. East-Middle-West (K=3)?

Thanks!

Cheers,
Stefan
