[adegenet-forum] How to code dominant markers in tetraploids?

Dear Torsten,

normally the indication of ploidy is not used when the type of marker is set to "PA". So setting ploidy=4 should not matter.

Best regards

Thibaut

Subject: [adegenet-forum] How to code dominant markers in tetraploids?

Dear Dr. Jombart,

I have a dataset containing SSRs evaluated as presence/absence markers
in tetraploids.

The tutorial describes how to use PA data in haploid individuals, where
each allele is coded like a single marker. Is there any difference in
coding the data, if I use ploidy=4 or is the ploidy obsolete for PA markers?

Thanks in advance.

Torsten
