[adegenet-forum] problems with .GTX and .GEN file formats

Dear Adegenet users,

Just started using Adegenet (or trying), but I dont seem to be able to
open any genepop or genetix files (not even the example ones). I get
this error message:

Error in if (toupper(.readExt(file)) != "GTX") stop("File extension .gtx
expected") :
  argument is of length zero

r in if (toupper(.readExt(file)) != "GEN") stop("File extension .gen
expected") :
  argument is of length zero

I have checked that I have the latest version or R and Adegenet
(according to the manual). I've tried saving the files with .gtx and
.gen, but the computer (windows Vista) seems to automatically change
them to .GTX and .GEN.

Anyone else has experience this problem? If so, how do I solve it?

Thanks in advance for any hints on how to proceed... feeling quite stuck
right now.

Cheers,

Niklas
