Matthias, the length of the sequences wasn’t the issue in this case, but
it is helpful to know about representative sequences, thank you. Gilbert
and Alexis, you were exactly right, the issue was caused by my having too many
colors in the palate. In an earlier version, I allowed for the
possibility of missing data, so I expanded the palate by one; when I dropped
truncated sequences, I forgot to drop the extra color. Once I did so, it
worked beautifully, thank you. It’s great to have such a helpful community
of colleagues,<o:p></o:p></p>
