Hi Kurt,

We built the package with 2.12.0 (r52686) ~1.5 months ago when the
code for polypath() was developed--- everything worked fine for that
revision.

However, I am 95% confidant the errors have to do with some changes to
Sweave. Our vignette abuses Sweave in creative ways in order to give
us more control over the output and it appears that R 2.12.0 included
additions that require us to update how we deal with Sweave.

So, I'm pretty sure it is not a bug in R 2.12.0 or tikzDevice--- just
the tikzDevice vignette. The source package includes a pre-compiled
vignette as insurance against this situation--- you may want to add
the `--no-vignettes` flag to the CRAN builds, if possible, until we
get this sorted.

A 0.5.2 release will be forthcoming.
