And thanks for your response, Stephen.  

I run StatET under XP at work and under Jaunty x86_64 at home.  StatET under 
Galileo is working well enough under XP, now I'm trying to get the same 
working at home.  

I'm getting a JRI error that doesn't jog anything from Google.  Here are the 
assorted dead chickens.  Any suggestions?
