first international Open Knowledge Festival will take place! Join us for a week of
participatory sessions, keynote lectures, workshops, hackathons and
satellite events. The event will include 170 sessions structured around
13 key Topic Streams, which range from Government Transparency to Open

<br>* Open Access in Practice – How? – featuring representatives from the Sanger Institute, the World Bank, the Open Access Index and Open Access India.<br><br>* Communicating Science Openly – a panel discussion with representatives from Wikimedia, academia and beyond.<br>
<br>* Immediate Access to Raw Data from Experiments – with Mark Hahnel (Figshare), Mark Wainwright (CKAN) and Joss Winn (Orbital project, University of Lincoln)<br><br>* The free <a href="http://okfestival.org/open-culture-and-science-hackday/" target="_blank">Science and Culture Hackday</a> to work together on projects, technologies and tools around open science.<br>
