I just wanted to add that, as Doug mentioned, there's a lot of
discussion just about the support of Eigen (i.e., before we get to
RcppEigen) on Solaris. Some googling:

http://eigen.tuxfamily.org/bz/show_bug.cgi?id=198
http://forum.kde.org/viewtopic.php?f=74&t=98885
http://permalink.gmane.org/gmane.comp.lib.eigen/991

So I would suspect that the first (non-trivial!) thing to do is to
figure out how to get Eigen itself compiling/building/passing tests on a
Solaris system, and only then worry about updating the guts of RcppEigen
... It's possible that the Eigen developers would welcome the help, too,
although all the threads I can find on-line about this issue seem to end
in whimpers rather than resolutions ...

(Sorry if this is all already obvious.)
