Hi,

There is at the moment no example of a seasonal FLStock in any FLR packages, although one needs to be added to FLasher, as it can forecast by season.

This is an object loaded from a seasonal SS3 SA model for Indian Ocean albacore tuna. The model has two sexes but this object has them collapsed

To create a seasonal object you need seasonal data. Remember seasons can be anything (months, weeks) but simply called then with sequential numbers (1:4, 1:12, 1:52), so that the order is clear.

If you pass to FLStock() an FLQuant with seasons, the whole object will have them:

stk <- FLStock(m=FQuant(0.1, dimnames=list(age=1:10, year=1980:2010, season=1:4)))

If you use ggplotFL, the plot of FLStock will take care of seasons. If you do plot(sa) after loading the example dataset above, you will see the seasonality in catches and ssb, but not in recruitment, as there is only recruitment in season 4.

Cheers,

Iago
