Greetings cipsr users,

A new version of cipsr has just been uploaded to our repository at Oregon State University. You can download the latest version of cipsr (2.2.2) using the following command in R:

install.packages("cipsr",repos="http://cips.forestry.oregonstate.edu/sites/cips/files",dependencies=TRUE)

A list of updates applied to cipsr in the current version can be found using the command: news(package='cipsr'). Updated documentation for cipsr can be found at: help(package='cipsr'). You can also open the cipsr vignette with the command: vignette('introduction'). For your convenience the vignette has been attached to this e-mail. I suggest taking time to explore the new cipsr functions process and processControl. Details of these functions can be found in the vignette or using the commands ?process and ?processControl. Please note that all of the above functions assume you have loaded cipsr using the command: library(cipsr).

After updating your copy of cipsr, please download the latest version of Java for 32-bit and 64-bit operating systems. A free download of Java JRE (Runtime Environment) can be found at the link below. Installing both JRE's, i586 and x64, will ensure that you can run cipsr in R i386 and R x64. If you have difficulty completing the Java update please contact me, Nate Osborne, directly.

Happy programming,
