<p class="MsoNormal">Dear BaSTA Team,</p>
<p class="MsoNormal">I tried to estimate age-specific survival in my system but continued to get the error message</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><i class="">Calculating DIC...Error in rep(0, nbd) : invalid 'times' argument</i></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">My system has a 100% detection probability and 100% of the birth dates are known. I started to suspect that this might cause the problem. Indeed, when randomly adding some observation uncertainty (i.e. replacing a single known birth date
with 0) the simulations ran smoothly. Is there a way to get around this problem, e.g. by specifying very strong priors?</p>
