[adegenet-forum] Installation problems

Hello,

yes, this seems to be a pain. Unfortunately I can't reproduce the error on any of my computer, but I just saw a student having a similar problem. This is OS-dependent and also probably R-version dependent. To make things easier, the package hierfstat has been removed from CRAN and therefore causes broken dependencies in R 2.13.

Can you please indicate exactly your OS and the R version (type "R.version" in R) you are using?

I need to fix this in the next adegenet release, to come within the next few weeks.

Cheers

Thibaut

Subject: [adegenet-forum] Installation problems

Hello,
I know that this problem has been posted a lot of times but I still
cannot open adegenet on my PC at work nor on my laptop at home. I tried
everything: opening R as administrator, using
install.packages("adegenet", dep=TRUE)...It seems to download everything
fine but then when I try to open it, the same message appears (see
below)...:-( Do you have any more tips?...I would like to use the
package to analyse some data I produced with polysat...
Thank you very much in advance!
Beatriz Sanchez
